Welcome to Capitol Skyline Hotel

The Capitol Skyline Hotel offers a blend of comfort and convenience set against the vibrant backdrop of Washington, DC. Located at 10 I St SW, this hotel provides guests with a prime location just a short walk from the House and Senate office buildings, making it an ideal choice for both business travelers and tourists exploring the nation's capital.

Guests often praise the attentive and friendly staff, who contribute significantly to a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are noted for their cleanliness and a charming retro-modern style, creating a space that feels both unique and comfortable. A standout feature mentioned frequently is the pool and its adjacent bar, which provide a refreshing escape after a busy day in the city.

Though the hotel boasts comfortable beds and in-room bathtubs, some aspects like the bathroom fixtures and water pressure reveal a need for updates. Despite this, many find the overall stay pleasant and value the reasonable pricing, especially given the location's convenience. Breakfast offerings receive mixed reviews, appreciated for quality but considered somewhat pricey relative to the menu.

For those attending conferences or training events, the Capitol Skyline Hotel is well-equipped, with praise for clean, accommodating meeting spaces and good catering services. Parking fees, however, are noted as a drawback, being comparatively steep versus nearby meter options.

Beyond the hotel itself, visitors can enjoy easy access to the District Wharf waterfront area, known for its seafood eateries and shops, as well as cultural venues like the Mead Center for American Theater. This proximity enriches the guest experience, offering numerous opportunities for leisure and exploration.

In sum, Capitol Skyline Hotel stands out as a solid mid-range option that balances location, service, and atmosphere. Its strengths lie in the personable staff and inviting amenities, while some modest improvements could elevate the overall experience. For travelers seeking an accessible, clean, and characterful stay in Washington, DC, it remains a compelling choice.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was awesome and friendly the duration of my stay. The pool is AMAZING. The beds were pretty comfy as well. The breakfast is a bit pricey for basically a standard hotel breakfast. It was nice having a bathtub in the room, however the shower and bathroom did leave a bit to be desired (low water pressure, a bit outdated). You are only about a 15 minute walk from Audi Field and the Nationals stadium, as well as about 2 miles from the National Mall. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hosted a training with 90 people. The hotel was great. Staff were courteous, rooms were clean and nice. Not too high price considering the great location. The food they brought in to the training was very good. And a nice complimentary breakfast. Oh yeah, the location is amazingly close to House and Senate office buildings for fly ins.

Had a friend in town that stayed here. It was cute and clean with a retro vibe, but modern things. The pool and pool side bar are great as well. only downside is that even if you are staying at the hotel parking is $40 a day. . . pretty steep when the parking meter is much less. Other than that I'd recommend out of town folks to stay there, reasonable prices too.
